Sincerity of a woman is known from her feet

You heard it right ladies!

Here’s a story I want to share with you all. It happened with one of my friends H.

In her team, they had something called ‘Fun Friday’. So one particular Friday, their boss was asked to choose a girl he finds beautiful. After sometime the boss took a name of a girl. My friend was taken aback what the boss saw in her that he didn’t see in H. She called her boss for a cup of tea and then asked him out upfront “Why did you choose her and not me? Am I not dressed properly?” And the Boss’ reply was “H, you’re fine. But that girl has really good pedicured feet and I like that in girls. Face is pretty obvious but a lady’s sincerity lies in her feet”.

And that’s true!

We always care for our hair or our skin but not much about the most important part of our body. The part that support us. That keeps us standing through every thick and thin. That’s our feet. They go through a lot entire day. You torture them by wearing heels that too different variety stilettos, kitten heels, wedges and what not. And we take them for granted. Every night we wash off the make up from our face, we moisturize our skin before going to bed at night but what about our poor soles? They need to be equally or a little extra pampered.  I will give you tips and tricks to look after your feet. Remember if you don’t take care of your self no one else will. I mean yeah of course we have salons to do the needful. But do we really take out that time? If the entire week’s work has drained you and you’ve decided to charge up yourself by chilling at home, here are your few DIY remedies:

1. To have an amazing sleep at night, take half bucket of lukewarm water and immerse your feet in it for 10-15 mins. It is a nice way to relax after a long day. It soothes your feet by relieving the pain caused due to prolonged standing or walking in those uncomfortable shoes. It also softens the hard calluses.

2. Epsom salt is a combination of magnesium and sulfate that helps flush out the toxins and heavy metals from your skin cells. It is also effective in reducing inflammation and muscle pain. Epsom salt helps in increasing circulation and healing fungal infection. It is easily accessible in any drug store. If you don’t have Epsom salt handy you can use sea salt. Add a tablespoon of the salt and enjoy the soothing effect.

3. Lemon is a rich source of Vitamin C which helps prevent bacteria. So it basically removes the bad odor. Also if you have any sort of infection under the toe nails that is also reduced with lemon. So squeeze half a lemon into the lukewarm water bath and let your feel relax for 10-15 mins.

4. Lemon also removes the tan. Remove your feet from the water bath and pat dry. Before going to bed take 4-5 drops of lemon juice mix it with olive oil or coconut oil and massage your feet. It will help relax the feet, improves blood circulation, heals the dry areas and also removes tan. Do not wash off your feet at night. Rather you can wear socks to prevent the mixture from sticking to your sheets. Do this for 4-5 consecutive nights and you’ll see the effective results.

5. You can add Epsom salt to the oil of your choice. I personally prefer olive oil and scrub off your feet after one of the above water bath dips. It smooth-ens the skin by removing the hard callus.

6. Wash off your feet after the above steps, trim your nails and don’t forget to apply that beautiful nail paint. Nude is my personal favourite as it goes with any clothing.

Viola!! You’re good to go.

Remember ladies no one comes before you. How can you take care of others when you don’t care for yourself? Always take out that “me” time before anyone else. No excuses.

Happy you!! 🙂self care
