Rishikesh being the abode of nature and beauty also hosts some amazing cafes with mind blowing views. Rishikesh has an influence of Garhwal cuisine to some mouth watering vegan dishes. In this post I will cover the cafes and foods I have tried in Rishikesh.
Beatles Cafe
The cafe serves some amazing burgers and fries along with an amazing view of the river Ganga. In the picture below there is a veg cheese burger, french fries and watermelon cooler. The cafe also serves vegan food as well. It is near Lakhshman Jhula. Altogether it costs Rs 300.

Chottiwala
Chottiwala is one of the oldest eatery in Rishikesh. The restaurant is located near Ram Jhula. There are two Chottiwalas in Rishikesh the one near the Ram Jhula is the oldest and serves scrumptious food.
Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures on my current phone of the food from Chottiwala as my old phone got ruined in Rishikesh. However I had ordered kadhi chawal and mushroom chilly. It was quite reasonable. The place gets crowded during lunch time and it’s worth the wait.
Little Buddha Cafe
This cafe is not so little as the name suggests. It is located at the other side of the Lakhshman Jhula near the Ganga ghat. The view of Lakhshman jhula and the Ganga from the cafe is gorgeous. I was staying at the Tapovan side so for me the cafe was at the other end. They serve some amazing glass noodles with broccoli and mushroom and momos platter. Although I ordered the glass noodles which was yum and the price is Rs 180.

Live Free Hostel Cafe And
This is my hostel cafe and they serve yum nutella pancake. Although the thickness of the pancake wasn’t that big but it tasted yum. That was my breakfast everyday till the time I was in Rishikesh. It costs around Rs 120.
Rajasthani Misthan Bhojanalaya
It’s a basic eatery that serves amazing dal batti churma. The restaurant is located near the Triveni Ghat. In the picture below you can see two different Rajasthani thalis and dal batti churma. Together it costs Rs 500 approx.
Brownie Point
Rishikesh serves veg food and is a paradise for foodies. If you’re a non-vegetarian still try out the food here, you will love it. Vegans also have good choices in Rishikesh.
Budget per person for a day
Food – Rs 500 to Rs 700
- I apologise for posting this blog so late. I was waiting for my phone to get fixed so that I could have posted the picture from Chottiwala and the blog sooner. Looks like my phone gave up on me and I couldn’t wait any longer.
